Showing Your PetzIf you are starting out showing one of your Petz, or just aren't really sure how, this is the place! First things first, you need a dog or a cat that you want to show. Great Danes and Calicos are the most popular showing breedz, and unique Petz are more noticeable! Second, your pet needs a show name. A show name is a longer name for your pet, that can (but doesn't need to) go along with it's call name. This is where you can be original! Most people usually start out with a prefix of their name, nickname, or website. Like I could use Sara's, SPH's, or something else. Then you would have your Petz' name. If your pet has won more than one show, you can put it's show title before your name (see show titles & point system). Third, take pictures of your pet! You can use the spacebar to quickly snap them, and your pet may hide, jump, etc at first. Keep trying and your pet will get used to the camera and start to pose. You can right click, pick up, and pre-position your pet so it is lined up then take your pictures. You will probably get better quality show pics that way.
Now that you have your pet, your Petz' show name, and the best picture of your pet posing, you can enter your pet in some Petz shows!!! Most sites have Petz show sections where you can send in an e-mail to enter your pet. Check out links pages, webrings, and banner exchanges for sites that advertise and host Petz shows. Follow the rules which they provide, properly fill out the form that they usually give, and send off that show pic! Don't be discouraged if your pet doesn't win anything, or doesn't score high, keep trying and you can be one of the BEST! Keep all your awards in a folder, or keep them on a website to keep track of your Petz' show points. Your pet receives a title when it earns more and more points.
