Statement about My Petz - from Sara, of Sara's Petz Homepage

Many people have e-mailed me about this subject, and half the time when I say no, they take major offense. That's why I decided to write this to clear most things up. Please remember that this is my opinion, and if you disagree, please don't e-mail me complaining, or trying to change my opinion.

My Petz are mine, and I would prefer to keep it that way. Just because someone has a Petz' picture on a page doesn't mean they can have it. I treat my Petz files like I would a real pet, I would never give up my (real) dog, Petunia, just because someone saw her on the internet and wanted her, I don't treat animals that way. I could have no clue who they are, they could also be lying about what they said in their e-mail (if they e-mailed me for her). They could say things such as "I'm a good owner, I'll never give the pet up... etc..." Then maybe a couple months later they could give it to someone else.
One time I found a site, which had one of my Petz for download on it, and about a couple of weeks before that I sent it to them because they asked so nicely. It made me angry. I'm not saying that that will happen again, but If I don't want a pet, they will end up in the Adoption Center, like a real dog would that someone can't take care of.
I know that most people think of Petz as JUST files, because you can just make a 'copy' of them, they aren't real. That is true, but I try not to think of them like that... If you have so many copies of a dog floating around the internet, the dog truly isn't yours any longer. Whether you kept the original copy or not. If you want a dog that looks like Snyder (or any other one of my Petz) you can hex-edit (or paint) the dog to look like it, or you could breed the same breeds to get the same mix.
Most people respect the fact that I don't want my dogz' files on the internet. They usually ask what breed they are so they can breed them themselves instead. A lot of them are successful in the breeding. But many people are lazy and don't want to take their own time to breed their own Petz, so they just ask someone else. Many of you have asked me "Why do you have your Petz' picture on a page, if you won't give it to anyone?" Well, the answer to that is I LIKE to show off my Petz, but I also like my Petz to be original. And like I said before, you can always ask me what breeds they are so you can breed one like it yourself.
